Dough Creamery

Summer ain’t going anywhere kaya let’s indulge in more icebox treats such as ice cream. here at Dough Creamery, they prop their milky soft serves in flash fried bread cones - a fancier way than what Manong Sorbetero sells.

The owners were fascinated with the concept of dirty ice cream as a bun filling and thought of how this Pinoy treat can be jazzed up and sold inside a mall where masses flock to keep cool.

Their 1st branch at SM North Edsa just opened a month ago and it seemed to be a hit especially amongst children who are lured to the image of an ice cream stand, parents who can’t stand the tantrums of their kids when these desserts aren’t bought and adults who just wants the feel of a cold treat to wag off this lurking humid weather.

The spindles were served to the flavors of our choice (caramel, chocolate, blueberry, peanut butter and cheese) and I’d say yes to peanut butter. the Pinoy in me loves the creamy sweet feel of their locally sources peanut butter, I wanted more but the garter of my undergarment was like, stop right now. haha. the bread cone - btw, was flash fried for 10-secs to hold its ground and not sog the moment the soft serve decides to melt, was a lil tough and thick. on the bright side, at least it’s got the texture and was quite filling.

Apart from the above reasons, their offerings were actually good. me likey a lot the waffle pop with caramel apple - the waffle was fluffy and airy inside yet it held its shape even when the soft serve melted and the caramel had the right amount of sweetness. amazing to note was that, even if you chomp off equal parts of the carb and the ice cream, both of its flavors come out wonderfully without overpowering the other. because of that, I (almost) forgot to share my order with the rest of the gang, haha!

What surprised me was the ice dog (milky soft served propped in a hotdog bun) because the bread itself was tasty and REAL NEAR to that of how Manong Sorbetero sells it, like a bible!

Another reason to visit Dough Creamery is their Milk Tea Float. Nope, it ain’t like McDo. their teas are freshly steeped daily and sourced from Taiwan, giddily mix it with their milky soft serve and wow, what a creamy delight! my hopes are that they open up a branch nearer my locale to reach a broader demographic who can share my fondness of this new ice cream concept.

Aside from their Mlik Tea Float they also offer cream soda, It’ sparkling flavored juice. You can choose between, Matcha, Black Currant, Wildberry, and Passion Fruit.
