Amare la Cucina in Ilocos Sur: A Delightful Dining Experience

As a passionate food enthusiast, (Charot lang sa intro) my culinary adventures often lead me to discover hidden gems, especially when journeying down south. As a self-proclaimed northie, the idea of venturing to places like Tagaytay feels like stepping into a different province. A few years back, during one of our memorable food crawls, we stumbled upon a quaint brick-oven pizzeria: Amare la Cucina.

Rediscovering Amare
Though not my first brush with brick-oven pizzas, Amare la Cucina consistently stands out for its top-notch ingredients and creative flexibility. On this particular visit, my dining companion and I decided to keep it simple yet satisfying, opting for a pizza and a pasta dish.

Alvin's Pizza: A Slice of Heaven
We couldn't resist ordering Alvin's Pizza, a delightful creation topped with homemade basil sauce, crispy bacon, gooey mozzarella, Parmigiano-Reggiano, aromatic herbs, and a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil. Even after taking it home and reheating, the pizza remained soft and tasted just as fresh. Truly, it was a slice of heaven that satisfied every craving.

Supreme Meatball Pasta: A Hearty Delight
For our pasta choice, we savored the Supreme Meatball Pasta, featuring wood-fired meatballs, rich marinara sauce, Parmigiano-Reggiano, and fresh basil. The meatballs, massive and flavorful, were perfect for sharing and added a hearty touch to the dish. It's not just a meal; it's an experience to relish.

A Sweet Ending with Gelato
No meal is complete without dessert, and we indulged in their Gelato. While it wasn’t the freshest Gelato I've had, it still boasted a pure and delightful taste, providing a sweet ending to our dinner.

Fun and Convenience
One of the unique aspects of dining at Amare la Cucina is the option to make your own pizza dough. Guests can roll and pin their own pizza crusts, adding a fun and interactive element to the dining experience. Although we didn’t partake this time due to our impromptu visit and the nearing closing time, it's an activity I highly recommend for future visits.

Moreover, the convenience of cashless payments made our unplanned dining adventure stress-free. Despite ordering just two main dishes, we left feeling incredibly full and satisfied. The quality of the food was impressive, and I believe even my Italian friends would appreciate this gem nestled in Ilocos Sur.

Amare la Cucina offers a delightful dining experience with its delicious pizzas, hearty pastas, and sweet gelatos. Whether planned or spontaneous, a visit to this charming restaurant is sure to leave you with a full belly and happy taste buds. So, if you find yourself in Ilocos Sur, don’t miss out on experiencing the culinary delight that is Amare la Cucina.

Bon appétit!
