The home of Soft-serve Milk tea.

Yes, Milk tea Ice Cream exists, not only Milk Ice Cream but they also serve their own innovation of Ice Cream Flavor. It was a payday Sunday and I decided to meet up with friends around UP Diliman and do some food crawls. After Mang Larry’s Isawan, Mango Graham and Pancit Canton Food trip. We were curious about this trending “Yakult” and “White Rabbit” Ice Cream that’s roving around social media.

The Black Scoop Cafe is located at 101 Maginhawa Street, Teachers Village, Quezon City. Upon entering the Cafe, the interior is pretty impressive, It’s like Industrial-Country Design. They have this huge wooden table and they also have the second floor in the back.

Of course, we don’t want to be left behind, we went here to try the Viral Ice Cream.

Yakult Ice Cream

Tell me who doesn’t love Yakult? It is a sweetened probiotic milk beverage fermented with the bacteria strain Lactobacillus paracasei Shirota. They made it soft served and the sourness is still there, I’m not sure if its yogurt-based or custard-based Ice Cream. But what I also noticed, It’s a bit firmer than the White Rabbit Ice Cream.

White Rabbit Ice Cream

White Rabbit Creamy Candy is white, with a soft, chewy texture, and is formed into cylinders. Each candy is wrapped in a printed waxed paper wrapper, but within this, the sticky candies are again wrapped in a thin edible paper-like wrapping made from sticky rice. The rice wrapping layer is meant to be eaten along with the rest of the candy. The Ice cream taste like Vanilla, nothing new with taste.


You can have it with pearls. 

MILK TEA

  • Brown Sugar Latte with Cream Cheese - One of my favorite here in Black Scoop cafe, the thick and creaminess of the milk tea and the richness of the Brown Sugar are present.
  • Hokkaido Milk Tea - This one really tastes Black Tea with thick creamy milk.

White Choco Sans Rival Cake Slice

It’s a layer of buttercream, meringue, and cashew nuts, covered with white chocolate frosting. If you’re sweet kind of person, you’ll definitely love this.
