Dark Specialty Coffee

After much eating, I’m lured to coffee to calm my tummy in order to make room for more eating.

At Dark Specialty, you can’t go wrong w/ their coffee selections for the use of single-origin beans that are sourced locally too.

While waiting for the spread to be served, I couldn’t help but notice the dapper suits sold by Onésimus that’s located in the store. Apparently, they have the same owner and I’d say it’s one handsome combination - retail and caffeine, so my style!

The sweets got busted out first and I don’t mind but for you, my dear children, have a proper meal first ‘coz your parents cannot bear the sugar-rush wounded toy that you’ll become. 4 different cookies, all in perfect rounds caught my attention: Cherry Dark, Chocolate Chip, Cranberry White, and Dark&White. All were soft, chewy and had a wonderful feel in my palate, so if you ask me to choose a fave, that’ll be hard.

Half of the cakes were a lil dry and crumbly, yet out of the four, two were just lovely. it’s just a tad sweet, which I favor but it ain’t to the point that it’ll make you wince:

Red Velvet and German Chocolate cake, I had to bribe the kid I was w/ so I can (at least) taste the Red Velvet ‘coz he got the plate all for himself.

Savories were then deployed. The mushroom and basil empanadas are best eaten the moment it’s served, to prevent it from appearing stale.

Same goes w/ their Fajitas (of w/c the bread is incorporated w/ malunnggay), try their beef, chicken and 3-mushroom offerings - it’s got spunk to it, I mean its spices are bold and a hint of heat is discerned. Their sets are served w/ nachos on the side and cheese sauce.

To help you down all that, their best-selling and new drinks got you covered. For the hot drinks, the Flat White and Cafe Mocha are always a good choice.

Over to the cool ones, go have the Matcha Green Blended, Toasted Caramel Coconut Blended and over iced Traditional Chocolate. I went over the moon for their two drinks: Lemongrass Peach Pear (iced tea) and Iced Cafe Mocha - like, as iiin! In a heartbeat, I’d order these beverages again.

People of the (SM) North, head on over to Dark Specialty for that lovely cuppa caffeine or a simple brunch or snack to while the time away. They have more in their menu for you to try, who knows, you might order ‘em all to unleash that TakawTikim in you.
