Authentic Japanese Food on the East Side: Fukurou Nihonryori

If you’re a Japanese Food Lover, I found a place where your wallet won’t be hurt by the price. I’ve been to a lot of Authentic Japanese Restaurants but the food is a bit pricey. Fukurou Nihonryori will give your Japanese food cravings with steal price.

The place is not that big and I was lost going there. It’s located at The Pinnacle Plaza, Marikina-Infanta Highway, San Isidro, Cainta, Rizal. Waze it or slow down when you reach Sta. Lucia Mall because it’s not that visible along the road because of small signage.

An owl is fukurou in Japanese, and because it includes the work fuku meaning “luck” it was linked with good fortune. Apart from a symbol of luck, the owl protects against suffering and hardship, because fukurou can be fu means “no” and kurou means hardship, suffering.

TAKAW TIKIM

Complimentary Vegetable Sticks.

Fried Maki. if you know me really well, I’m not a fan of sushi. but I enjoyed this one because it’s fried. The sushi has texture because of the fried coating, topped with special sauce and black sesame seeds.

Volcano Roll. One of their best seller. Ebi, cucumber and spicy sauce.

Sashimi Moriawase. Salmon, Maguro (tuna), White Fish (Mackerel) and Squid. I swear this plate is glorious in person. Their fish and most of their ingredients are imported from Japan.

Tonkatsu. Deep Fried pork cutlet served with Sesame sauce and tonkatsu sauce.

Yakiniku. Grilled meat with over flavorful Takiniku sauce. it’s one of my favorite actually.

Tempura. Fried prawns in Tempura batter.

Fukorou Iced Tea and Peach Mango Drink

DESSERT!

Neopolitan Mochi Platter. chocolate strawberry and vanilla mocha ice cream. I like it better if the mochi is thicker.

S’mochi. Chocolate mochi Ice Cream with ground graham crackers topped with grilled marshmallow and Chocolate syrup.

Kinako Kuromitsu Mochi. vanilla mocha ice cream topped with soybean powder and syrup

Overall, I will recommend this if you are or residing on the East Side of the Metro. It’s good for family and barkada. It’s very authentic at a steal price.
